I'm pretty happy with my AMD build, but I'll admit that buying anything other than an XTX for the GPU offered a clear loss over the NVIDIA alternative. What I love is that I'm not locked into the NVIDIA choices, and that my XTX can handle most of the games I want to play while simultaneously managing to support local AI models up to 70b.
I just can't bring myself to consider ever paying as much for my GPU alone as (almost) the rest of my custom PC put together. So, hopefully, someone can start tackling NVIDIA's throne.
But I'm also a hard-core AMD processor fan. Every Intel processor I've used feels like a clunky junker in comparison to my R9 7950x.
