That's fair - there may be some generalization in this relatively short article. Some aspects of laptops can definitely be repaired, but that repairability is usually limited in various ways (and to different degrees depending on the device). My Asus Zephyrus was upgradable in terms of RAM, for instance -- but only slightly, as the original RAM was soldered in.

What's nifty about the Framework ethos is that repairability and modularity are placed in the "hot seat" in terms of design choices. Everything about the process is made easy for the end user.
