Your Time to Fall
Falling contained the strangest form of terror.
Don hadn’t wanted to explore Fearnway Mountain, but peer-pressure can be a real bitch. Samantha and Craig were ahead, as usual, while Brian trailed at the group’s rear.
A couple of hours in, he made the mistake of looking down. Vertigo flooded him like cold ocean waves through the broken bottom of a boat. Scree shifted under his unsteady feet.
“Ahh!!”
Falling contained the strangest form of terror.
Don knew what would happen just a few scant moments in. No hope. Just hard rocks below that rose up hungrily to meet him. “There was so much more I would have liked to do.”
And then something grabbed him. And he looked up into Brian’s shining eyes, from whose back sprouted great wings of white.
